Colombia beat Senegal 1-0 to top World Cup Group H on Thursday as Japan also qualified for the last 16 despite being beaten by a single goal by Poland.
The South American side finished with six points and Japan ended on four points, edging out Senegal on the fair play criteria. England and Belgium, who play later, will be the opponents in the knockout rounds.
