Nigerian telecoms firm Globacom has expressed its commitment towards building a network that guarantees seamless communications in Africa, by increasing investments in Nigeria and across Africa to offer quality mobile and data services in all its operations.

Chairman of Globacom Mike Adenuga told the Glo CAF Awards ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, the company would be increasing its investment in broadband through its Glo 1 submarine cable.

“Our subscribers in the West African sub region whom we serve directly and the millions of others we serve through our Glo 1 armoured submarine cable and roaming footprints can rely on us to keep our promise of providing a network that guarantees seamless communications in Africa; and between Africa and the rest of the world,” he said.

He said the company has recorded significant progress in the telecoms industry in Africa.

“We are pleased to inform you that just as African football is making appreciable progress, Globacom has also made significant progress in the telecommunication industry. We have continued to deploy the best telecommunications technology to build a robust network that will continuously offer our customers seamless, world-class mobile and data services.”

He announced the company has also made key strides in its bouquet of mobile, data and cable services beyond Nigeria into Ghana, Benin and several economies on the continent.

“Our subscribers in the West African sub region whom we serve directly and the millions of others we serve through our Glo 1 armoured submarine cable and roaming footprints can rely on us to keep our promise of providing a network that guarantees seamless communications in Africa; and between Africa and the rest of the world,” Adenuga said.
