Hundreds of Capetonians are marching to Parliament to demand that President Jacob Zuma hand in his resignation.

The protest is one of multiple planned demonstrations across the country – each hoping for a turnout of at least a few hundred people. It’s should perhaps come as little surprise that South Africans are choosing to spend their Freedom Day calling for a change in leadership, as a strong anti-Zuma sentiment has been brewing ever since he decided to axe former finance minister Nhlanhla Nene.

The Cape Town march, in particular, is reminiscent of the  Reconciliation Day #ZumaFallFall protests which took place countrywide in the immediate aftermath of the finance minister debacle and subsequent plummitting of the rand.

Seemingly, note everyone, however, was impressed with the anti-Zuma protesters and their enthusiasm.
